The Greenloop Mission
The mission is simple: Green Life. Green Style.
Greenloop is one woman's creative endeavor in market based environmental activism.
All brands carried by Greenloop employ a variety of responsible practices, including: using eco-friendly, sustainable materials; employing energy efficient and low-impact production; investing in renewable energy and carbon offsets; and maximizing recycling and waste reduction. In addition to these practices, these companies engage in fair trade, support organic agriculture, sweat-shop free production, and various environmental non-profit groups through in-kind and financial donation.
We at Greenloop believe that what you wear and where you shop is a reflection of who you are and what you stand for. Our selection of modern, functional, high style apparel, bags, belts, footwear, and jewelry gives you the opportunity to vote with your dollar for a sustainable economy, breathable air, clean water, healthy people, and diverse and thriving wildlife.
We are not perfect and do not claim to be so. Our product mix is a solid step in the right direction toward a more sustainable way of life. Some products are made using a portion of "conventional" materials in addition to more eco-friendly textiles, however on balance, the finished product is "greener" than its conventional counterpart, doing more good than harm. Some items are made in China, which is not always a bad thing. With an increasingly global economy, much of the expertise in product manufacturing is located in China or other countries. Every single one of the lines we carry has conducted extensive research and audits to ensure that the manufacturing facilities where their products are made adhere to human right standards and safe, responsible manufacturing practices.
